Air Travel is the easiest way to get to Tioman Island. Berjaya Air Sdn. Bhd. provides regular daily flights from Kuala Lumpur (Subang Airport) and Singapore (Seletar Airport).
At Tioman Airport, you can take the Sea Taxi (speedboat) from the main jetty that make its way around to Panuba Inn Resort, with the occasional stop off for other passengers along the way. Alternatively we can arrange a private pickup from the jetty - just call us to confirm your arrival date and time and we will meet you upon your arrival.

The journey takes only 2 hours by Fast Ferry.

From Kuala Lumpur, you can take North-South Highway, head south towards Johore ( from KL or North ). Exit at Ayer Hitam ( Exit 244 ) junction and take a right turn to Kluang. Just follow the signs To Mersing along Route 3. Approximate traveling time : 5 hours.
If you're traveling from Singapore or Johor Bahru, head north. Follow signs to Mersing or Route 3. Approximate traveling time : 3 hrs from Johor Bahru.
From Terengganu/Kuantan, Take Route 3 (coastal road), heading south towards Mersing. Approximate traveling time from Kuantan, 3 hours.

Travelling by Bus is the cheapest alternative for those who are on a shoestring budget. Buses from Johor Bahru to Mersing depart from Larkin Bus Terminal, while in Kuala Lumpur buses depart from the Pudu Raya. You may also get a bus to Mersing from various bus terminals in every state of the Peninsular Malaysia. For those who want to start their journey from Singapore, you can take a direct bus from the Golden Mile Complex, Beach Road.
All buses will stop at Mersing Bus Station at town which is about 15 minustes walk to the jetty.
